  International call for entries of contemporary sound creation projects in the SOUND ART and EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC categories.
   
  TERMS AND CONDITIONS   
  Sound as a creative means of expression has gained significant strength today, to the extent that it is acquiring an autonomy of its own, separate from the fixed image.
   
  ramona DISCOS hereby calls all musicians, artists and individuals working on and with sound, or who are interested in producing sound pieces and/or experimental music to submit their projects. The call is open to artists of all ages and all places of residence.
   
  Analog, digital or “mixed” works will be accepted. 
   
  1)      The purpose of this call is to use the ramona DISCOS online platform to disseminate the work of sound creators and their production on a free-of-charge and non-profit basis, subject to prior acceptance by their authors, of compositions recorded from nature, such as analog recordings, or computer-made digital recordings.
   
              The theme will be free for this first call.
   
  2)      Deadline for submission of works is September 30, 2006.
   
  3)      Requirements for submission of sound materials:
   
  Participants shall submit a description of work(s) on an A4-size folder which shall contain the following:
   
  ü      Category (submissions for two categories will be accepted).
  ü      Theoretical basis and brief description of the work(s) submitted.
  ü      Biography, resume and digital photography of author.
  ü      Works must be submitted on CDs in MP3 and WAV formats.
  ü      A maximum of 3 pieces will be accepted for each category, with a duration equal to or shorter than 5 minutes.
  ü      A letter signed by the author stating his/her acceptance of the terms and an express permit to freely distribute the work(s) via Internet.
  ü      Artists may, at their option, attach earlier works on a separate CD.
   
  4)  Works will be sent addressed as follows:

        The material sent will not be returned to senders and authors not fulfilling all     documentation requirements as described above, may not participate in this call.
   
  5)  The sound materials will be curated by the organizers of this call in October 2006.
              The website launching of ramona DISCOS will take place in November and December, 2006.
              Authors who have been selected will be notified by electronic mail.
   
  6)  Any aspects not foreseen herein will be decided by the organizing committee.
   
              It is essential to mention that this is non for profit call.
