thanks Mark,

yes, the Rahsaan Roland Kirk link, love his multi-instrumental sound
pieces... the YouTube "Sound" (1966-67), Pt. 1 piece is wonderful...

PLOT DESCRIPTION
Dick Fontaine directs the half-hour black-and-white film Sound,
originally recorded in 1967 and released on video from Rhapsody
Films. Footage of experimental composer John Cage is intercut with
footage of avant-garde jazz multi-instrumentalist Rahsaan Roland
Kirk. Kirk is shown in performance playing his signature three saxes
at once. Eventually he hands out whistles to the audience. Meanwhile,
Cage works on a musical bicycle with pianist David Tudor and
choreographer Merce Cunningham. ~ Andrea LeVasseur, All Movie Guide

"Although Rahsaan Roland Kirk and John Cage never actually meet in
this film (Cage's enigmatic questions about sound are intercut with
some of Kirk's more ambitious experiments with it) these two very
different musical iconoclasts share a similar vision of the boundless
possibilities of music (...)"
