It would be worth contacting Gordon Mumma to ask what his
recollection is of this event.
I noted, on a visit to the Getty, an "unidentified piano work," item
C271 in the Tudor collection which turned out to be Nancarrow studies
-- the description of the original format reads
> 1 archival master, on 2 1/4" reel-to-reel tapes [recording split
> between 2 reels because of its length (43 min, 39 sec)]
Perhaps these were reels used in performance?
Just guessing...
From a quick look through the catalog (which isn't accessible online
for some reason) I don't think there are any other Nancarrow items
among the Tudor tapes.
