Hello Silence Friends:

Please make note of this special date: Saturday, July 28, at 6 PM.

Maverick Concerts, in Woodstock, New York will be celebrating the genius of
John Cage in the original setting of 4'33, in the historic 1916 hand-built
Concert Hall where it had its world premiere in 1952!

4'33 is a part of the July 28th concert as is Cage's exquisite, In a
Landscape. Both pieces will be performed by the noted pianist, Pedja Muzijevic.

Visit the website, MaverickConcerts.org, (_Maverick_
(http://www.maverickconcerts.org/) ) and check out the entire season (there is a superb article by
musicologist Miriam Villchur Berg about 4'-33 and its' creation in the
History section and Cage's visit to the anechoic chamber).

Plan to visit the Maverick's forest compound and the beautifully simple
Concert Hall that is now on the National Register of Historic Places and enjoy
the same pristine, bucolic surroundings that inspired Cage.
