[silence] silence, sound, music, noise

CM von Hauswolff (a pretty great "noise artist"
himself) released an interpretation of 4'33" on a 7"
(on the long defunct label Povertech) in which the
records groove is (I believe) 4 ft, 33 inches, lasts a
duration of 4'33" and continues its spiral all the way
to the hole in the center of the disc. This final
bit--of spiraling silence disappearing into the void
(as well as the impossibility of the needle following
it)--seems to me quite evocative of Cage's piece,
suggesting that the piece approaches a certain
nihilism (which many Cage scholars prefer not to
discuss).

I've never seen or heard this disc, only read about
it, so I could be completely wrong.
