Mashayekhi to test John Cage’s unusual music in Iran By Mostafa

TEHRAN, March 5 (MNA) - Tehran Symphony Orchestra conductor Nader  
Mashayekhi plans to test Iranian tastes for the unusual music of U.S.  
avant-garde composer John Milton Cage, Jr. with his “Four to the  
Sixth Power”.

Night of John Cage :: 1385-12-13 | 15:10:57 :: TEHRAN (IAF) – The  
26th night of “Bokhara” is the night of John Cage, the American  
composer. It is held in Beethoven Hall of the Iranian Artists’ Forum  
(IAF), on March 7, at 17:00.
According to the news website of IAF, the programs of the ceremony  
are; lecture of Dr. Mohammad-Baqer Ziaei, Ali Dehbashi, Nader  
Mashayekhi and Peyman Soltani on different aspects of Cage’s art. Two  
important pieces of Cage will be performed by the modern conservatory  
of Tehran and the session is finished by screening a film about life  
of John Cage.
