When you turn the corner
and you run into yourself
then you know that you have turned
all the corners that are left

This week's NeedleDrop concert has me especially excited, as one of  
my all-time favorite composers Phill Niblock is featured alongside  
the spectacular guitarist and sound artist Guy De Bièvre.

Mr. De Bièvre will be performing his work for lap steel guitar and  
randomly generated electronics- it is "an open exploratory journey  
into elementary score materials in unpredictable electronic  
processing surroundings."
Niblock's set will consist of "thick, loud drones of music, filled  
with microtones of instrumental timbres which generate many other  
tones in the performance space."  It will be accompanied by videos  
looking at the movement of people working.

NeedleDrop concerts take place at the Safe-T-Gallery in the DUMBO  
neighborhood of Brooklyn, at 111 Front St., Gallery 214.  All  
concerts begin at 6pm and are $10.  More information is available at
