Good question. I prefer the playing style on both MODE versions,  
compared with Kotik's first recording. It should be known I equally  
prefer some later recordings to a few of our first recordings of  
Cage's music as well.
On the other hand, my favorite recordings of Morton Feldman's Turfan  
Fragments and For Samual Beckett are Kotik's. His revision of  
Feldman's original orchestration of For Samuel Beckett works much  
better on recording than the original, in my opinion. This is a  
fantastic orchestral recording. Buy it immediately:
