Dear friends,

Perhaps this is the season of Variations VII. I was gratified to read
Andre Chaudron's post about the upcoming DVD release
(http://www.microcinemadvd.com/product/DVD/749/Variations_VII_by_John_Cage.ht
ml). And the UK premiere was presented at the Baltic Centre for
Contemporary Art at the end of last month. So I'm happy to let you know
that the Mobius Artists Group in Boston (Mass.) will presented our revised
and expanded take on Variations VII, on April 18-19 at Mobius
(http://www.mobius.org). In March of 2007, we presented what was - as far
as we know - the first performance of this piece in 41 years, at the New
Art Center in Newton, Mass. We learned a great deal from that experience
and were determined to present the piece again, revising some of our
processes and adding two new collaborators.

I want to keep this a short note, rather than send a whole press release.
But if you're interested in knowing more, just write to me. And I hope
we'll see some Silencers there.

Thanks,

David M.
Jamaica Plain, Mass.
