This discussion has helped me remember the very odd (yet worthwhile) film "Silence" where fragments of Cage reading (from Silence) are interwoven with those of Rashaan Roland Kirk. It is clear that this film was "composed" and that Cage and Kirk never met under the circumstances of this film yet, places Cage's thinking in an avant-garde jazz environment.

The film can be seen at UBU web.
