Hello, Silence-listers!
I am currently working on a piece for narrator and tuba quartet, and as part of this piece, I am adding to the narration other people's responses and comments on the work and impact of John Cage. Typically, I ask people,
"What do you have to say about John Cage, both the man himself and his music?"
It is interesting to note that the first response I received for this question was as follows:
"All of his music sucks. He is creative and original, but neither of these attributes equate to quality."
So, the moral of this story is, if anyone would like to email me, (or respond to this list,) their answer to this question, I would greatly appreciate it.
Just so that I make this clear, this piece, like all of my other compositions, will never be used to make a profit. I am solely writing this for my own use and for the use of my fellow tuba students. (Then again, this is assuming that my works would make me a profitable person, but that's beside the point...)
Thanks, and any help is appreciated!
