[silence] Young Cage

There are interviews around in which Cage talks about his high school years. I specifically recall one in which he discusses producing a radio program in conjunction with his activities in the Boy Scouts——he did a weekly radio show for something like two years which involved hosting local (LA area) clergy and otherwise spiritual people who would talk about their beliefs. I believe this experience involved some turntable experiments. Sorry I can't be more specific about the source of this. It may have been Duckworth's TALKING MUSIC.
