[silence] Composers who use lots of silence

Radu Malfatti started out as an improvising trombonist, but some of  
his recent compositions use the same time bracket notation as Cage's  
number pieces.   I have the score for a solo piano piece, and it's  
even more sparse than Cage.  The EFI site has a page for him, but it  
deals mostly with his improv work.  More info on his compositions is  
at Timescraper, http://www.timescraper.de/malfatti/index.html.  He  
runs his own label of made-to-order CDRs called b-boim.  I haven't  
heard any of these, but there are brief descriptions at Mimaroglu  
(http://www.mimaroglumusicsales.com/labels/b-boim.html), although  
there are other distributors.
