[silence] Composers who use lots of silence

On re-reading the original request, I have a harder time finding
examples. Stockhausen's Trans has a lot of activity with a very
pregnant moment of silence. Feldman's Extensions 3 has a fair amount
of activity alternating with silent parts, but it's not very long
(around six minutes). I remember hearing a recording on Wergo
(although discogs has it on Heliodor) of the Manfred Schoof Quintet
playing scenes from operas by Bernd Alois Zimmermann that fit this
paradigm, although it's been many years since I heard this album.
