glenn,
here is the passage from John Cage Writer (pg. 204)

Twenty-Six, Twenty-Eight and Twenty-Nine (1991):
these pieces may be played alone, either two together, or all three at
once. in either of the latter cases, the longer or longest piece shall
begin and close the performance, the shorter one starting within the
period of time that is its difference in length. thus, if all three
play together, twenty-nine will begin, twenty-six will begin anytime
within three minutes and twenty-eight will begin anytime within one
minute. the first viola will start the video clock for twenty-nine,
the first flute for twenty-eight, the first violin for twenty-six.
single tones in flexible time-brackets (single bows or breaths, long
or short) played only once.

i imagine you have this information already.......
