[silence] a layer of silence

Hello,

I've just heard about your silence mailing list. This sounds interesting.
I've written nearly thirty works since 2003 under the title of Silent
Durations for solo instruments to symphony orchestra. Silent Durations
XXVIII for piano four hands will be premiered in New York this February 22nd
by Catherine Schneider & myself. Silent Durations XXV for soprano saxophone
and viola will be premiered February 11th in Bucharest, Rumania by Daniel
Kientzy & Cornelia Petriou.

I sometimes explain that my music consists of a layer of sound on which I
place my notes. The silences in my works can be a few seconds to about 30 or
40 seconds. These silent moments are integral parts of the work's
architecture.

I've subscribed to be a member of the mailing list and I'll be very
interested in your discussions.
