Dear colleagues,

in response to Jose Luis Mullor regarding the RNA quality for Microarray
analysis.
We prepared Total RNA from early stages embryos (very early like oocytes
to 128 cells laevis or tropicalis) using tri-reagent procedure. When
total RNA was analyzed on a bioanalyzer, we would always get a small
peak just below the 28S RNA that would mess up the RIN calculation. This
peak was also observed by other colleague suggesting that it may be a
characteristic of the xenopus total RNA.
Total RNA extraction were however reproducible and gave good yield when
used for RNA labeling.

Hope this help,

best regards,
Yann
