Hello,
I keep a colony of Tropicalis in my lab and have recently observed some
very agressive behaviour. The frogs are 7-8 month old, kept in 30 litre
tanks. I keep up to 20 frogs in each tanks. The frogs get fed everyday
(pellets and bloodworms)
Recently I observed some white marks on their forearms and it appears
that those marks are fighting injuries.
Some frogs try to eat other frogs forearms.
I have observed canibalism in the past when frogs of different sizes are
kept in a same tank but it is the first time I witness frogs being
bullied by a frog of a similar size.
Have you already experienced this? Do you think it is a food problem? Do
you think the tanks are overloaded?
Thank you for sharing your frogs experiences.
Regards,
Severine.
