Greetings All,
I have a bunch of trops that have in the last week bloated up and are
floating semi-submerged (a few even inverted) at the top of the tanks.
They don't appear to be overtly sick - no sign of redleg. Anybody
encounter this? Any ideas what might be happening and how to solve this?
My guess is bacterial gassiness, but....??? I have several 20 gallon
tanks with recirculating back filters, and have been maintaining a ph of
7.5 with some bicarbonate and a few grams of instant ocean for more than a
year (so i doubt it's a 'baking soda' effect! but who knows??) .
all comments appreciated!
cheers,
jerry
