TROPLIST: biotinylated anti-dig and/or in situs on sections?

We're struggling to get a good in situ signal from late-40s stage
trop tads. We're trying various protocols for in situs on sections,
but it's possible that our target is expressed at very low levels.

Does anyone have experience with amplification using biotinylated
anti-dig followed by streptavidin-conjugated chromogen or variants?

Barring that, we gratefully accept other bombproof protocols for in
situs on tadpole sections. Wholemounts at these stages are
problematic...

thanks
Lyle
