Dear Student Chapter Presidents: For this year's annual meeting, the
Education TG and Student Affairs Committee would like to enhance the
exhibit booth where educational program materials are displayed to make
it more interactive and attract more attendees who wish to learn about
these programs. Although we had space in Orlando last year for
university lab posters, this year's meeting space will be completely
filled by sessions because the technical program is so much larger than
in past years.
We'd like to establish a schedule that enables program representatives
(whether faculty or students) to talk about their programs. Two-hour
shifts would be available on a first-come, first-served basis during the
exhibit hours, which are as follows:
Tuesday, October 17, 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. (one shift: 3:00-5:00)
Wednesday, October 18, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (three shifts: 9:00-11:00
a.m., 1:00-3:00 p.m., 3:00-5:00 p.m.)
Thursday, October 19, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (two shifts: 9:00-11:00
a.m. and 1:00-3:00 p.m.)
Two different universities could be represented during each shift, with
one rep per university.
Please respond directly to me (lois@hfes.org <mailto:lois@hfes.org>) by
August 7 and indicate which shift you'd like to reserve. After that
date, I'll confirm with all of you who sent in a request.
Universities that wish to display materials on the table but are not
able to reserve a shift may still do so. Simply bring your materials to
the meeting and set them out as soon as the hall opens on Tuesday,
October 17, at 3:00 p.m.
Thanks!
Lois
